The event started with an introduction on sufism and sufi music by Prof. Shahzad Bashir from Stanford University Department of Religious Studies. The Sufi Music Sextet performed classical pieces of sufi music. Rumi’s poems have been recited with sufi music in the background. At the end of the night the guests enjoyed traditional Turkish pastries and hot tea and a hearty conversation on Sufi tradition.
