Ozlem Turkone, an AK Party deputy for Istanbul , a member of the Turkish delegation to PACE and the deputy chairman of the AK Party foreign affairs department visited the Pacifica Institute. The deputy was here to observe the presidential elections of 2008 and gave her impressions of November the 4th vote. She was briefed about the  activities of the Pacifica Institute and the Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival which is scheduled to take place from the 2nd to the 5th of April. The deputy commended the Pacifica Institute is doing for the Turkish American community in  California.
